MUNDELEIN – Local residents responded in record numbers to the U.S. Flag Exchange Program recently sponsored by State Representative Ed Sullivan (R-Mundelein) throughout the month of July. Residents wishing to turn in an old U.S. flag and exchange it for a new one were encouraged to bring their used flag to Sullivan’s District Office.

In total, Sullivan’s office exchanged 112 flags and collected over 200 old U.S. flags to be properly disposed of. Representative Sullivan personally hand-delivered over 40 flags to his constituents, and the District Office received walk-in traffic of over 100 local residents coming in to exchange their old flag.   Continue reading »
